Fuller House! John Stamos Dragged ‘Kicking & Screaming Into Fatherhood A Second Time’

John Stamos is headed for a starring role in a real-life Full House!

RadarOnline.com has learned the 54-year-old actor’s wife, Caitlin McHugh, who gave birth to his first child, Billy, in April, is already lobbying for baby number two.

“John did the math and realizes he’s going to be well into his 70s by the time Billy graduates from high school,” a friend told RadarOnline.com. “But Caitlin is just 32, and she doesn’t feel their family is complete.”

The TV heartthrob, who set hearts aflutter on Full House from 1987 to 1995, has eagerly gotten his hands dirty on diaper duty with Billy, according to pals.

Despite that, Stamos is set to face grueling golden years, shuttling Billy to soccer practice while cashing Social Security checks. But sources said he’s likely to cave in to his wife’s wishes.

“John’s so crazy about Caitlin that he can’t deny her anything,” the friend said. “Caitlin may have to drag John kicking and screaming into fatherhood a second time, but it will happen.”

The couple met on the set of Law & Order: SVU, and dated for three years before tying the knot in February.

“John jokes he’ll probably be in a nursing home by the time a second kid finishes college,” the friend noted. “He uses his trademark humor to cover up his fears, but this is the family John’s always dreamed of having. It’s just occurred a lot later than he’d planned.”

The TV dreamboat’s late-in-life fatherhood reportedly was inspired by another silver fox — A-list hunk George Clooney!

What’s more, Stamos was eaten up with envy when his ex-wife Rebecca Romijn had twins with her second husband, Jerry O’Connell, in 2008, according to insiders.

To his credit, the Fuller House star has been a hands-on dad to Billy, doing much of the heavy lifting while actress-model Caitlin resumes her career.

Stamos has even cut down his acting workload, signing on for only a recurring role on the upcoming Lifetime series You, the friend said.

Added another source: “Raising kids is a young man’s game — but John is proving he’s up to the challenge!”
