Jim Carrey Wrongful Death Lawsuit Dismissed From Court
Feb. 1 2018, Updated 1:21 p.m. ET
Jim Carrey's wrongful death lawsuit launched by his ex-girlfriend’s heartbroken family has allegedly been dismissed. According to a report, the case was thrown out of a California court.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the makeup artist committed suicide at age 30 in 2015. Her Irish family accused Carrey, 56, of having caused her death and given her an STD – which she herself had sued him for before her sudden passing.
Carrey had been fighting the legal battle for years, and his lawyer claimed White forged the medical documents in order to make it seem like the actor had given her herpes.
After White’s death, Carrey continued to deny the claims, saying he did not realize she was allegedly trying to extort him because he was “blinded by affection.”
