Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar welcomed another child to their brood of 19 when they became the legal guardians of nephew Tyler Hutchins in November 2017. Now, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the results of an annual welfare check.
In court papers obtained from the Circuit Court of Benton County in Arkansas, an annual report was submitted by Jim Bob and Michelle's attorney on October 31, 2017.
“The current mental, physical and social condition of the incapacitated person is: Tyler is a happy and healthy very attached and thriving 9-year-old,” the filing read. “Tyler is currently living in Springdale Arkansas with his great aunt and uncle, James R. Duggar and Michelle A. Duggar, as well as their children.”
Tyler, 9, even has a savings account with $2,715.82.
In Touch was the first to report that Jim Bob and Michelle became the legal guardians of Hutchins on November 21, 2006.
Jim Bob and Michelle filed a petition on August 26, 2016 for permission to be his guardians.
Michelle’s sister Carolyn Hutchins is Tyler’s grandma. She was awarded physical control and custody of Tyler in August 2015. In July 2016, she suffered a stroke and was no longer able to care for him.
Tyler’s mom Rachel is “homeless with no permanent address” and has “exhibited a pattern of behavior demonstrating that she is presently unable to meet Tyler’s health, safety and other needs.”
His father is undetermined, as he is not listed on the birth certificate.
