Jessie James & Eric Decker Divorce Shocker! Family's Marital Troubles Revealed
Jessie James and Eric Decker appear to be a picture-perfect couple on their hit television show on the E! network, Eric & Jessie. But RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that not even these two have been able to escape divorce.
According to divorce documents on file at the Stearns County Courthouse in Minnesota, RadarOnline.com has learned Eric’s parents went through a nasty split back in 1995.
Eric’s mother, Susan, filed for divorce from his dad, Thomas, due to an “irretrievable breakdown of the marriage,” shocking divorce documents claim.
While Susan retained an attorney for the proceedings, Thomas opted not to. Divorce documents show the couple was living separately in Minnesota by the time the divorce was finalized.
The Deckers had been married for 13 years and had two children together, Eric, and his older sister, Sarah. The divorce was finalized on March 20, just five days after Eric’s eighth birthday. His sister Sarah was 10 years old.
The NFL star’s parents received joint legal custody of the kids, according to the docs, yet the “physical care, custody and control” was awarded to Susan.
Additionally, Thomas Decker received “liberal visitation” rights of the children, the documents state. Due to his “varying” work shifts as a maintenance worker, the exes were expected to plan Thomas’s visits with his kids “in advance.” Eric and his sister regularly got to spend one weekend per month with their dad, in addition to Monday and Wednesday nights.
The documents also state that Jessie James’ baby daddy had to alternate holidays between his parents from then on.
Sue was able to keep the only house the couple shared in Cold Spring, Minnesota, where the football hunk grew up. Thomas was awarded the boat, van, insurance policies and stock.
Eric’s dad was also instructed to pay Susan $558 per month in child support until each child reached the age of 18.
Eric & Jessie documents the country singer and professional athlete at home in Nashville, Tennessee, juggling their high-profile careers and two cute kids, Vivianne, 3, and Eric Decker II, 2.
The reality stars announced in October that they will be welcoming baby number three in a touching Instagram video.
She captioned the video, “Eric and I are excited to share with y’all that we are expecting baby Decker number 3! As you can see Viv is so happy.”
While Eric and Jessie are an open book on television, by the looks of Eric’s social media pages, he rarely is spotted with his own family. It was announced last year that Eric signed a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans, according to the NFL.
