The source revealed Papasifakis battled cancer for years, and even moved from Greece to the United States at one point to receive treatment.

"Originally it was esophageal cancer," the source told "We thought it was cured but her heart became damaged."

Papasifakis then returned to Greece two years ago in December "so she could be with her sons for Christmas," the insider added. She ultimately passed away due to heart complications overseas.

However, during the "many" years Aniston's aunt received treatment somewhere in Pennsylvania, the source said the family did not hear a peep from Aniston.

"Jen did not visit her," said the source. "No one has spoken to Jen."

Services were held overseas in Greece, according to the insider. The insider confirmed Jen "did not go to the services."

This is the second death in Aniston's family she's been absent for in the last two years. Shortly after Dow passed away in 2016, reported that Aniston had been cut out of her mother's will.
