'Jersey Shore' Star JWoww Ends Her Marriage After 3 Years
Jenni “JWoww" Farley and her husband of less than three years, Roger Mathews, have filed for divorce.
According to the divorce complaint filed earlier this month in New Jersey, the Jersey Shore star and her truck driver husband cite “irreconcilable differences.”
“The Plaintiff and the Defendant have irreconcilable differences which have caused the breakdown of the marriage for a period of at least six months which make it appear that the marriage should be dissolved and that there is no prospect of reconciliation," Farley’s complaint said.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Farley, and Mathews, tied the knot in October 2015, but their matrimony was anything but smooth, and Mathews teased that after a mid-life crisis, she left him for another man while filming Jersey Shore: Family Reunion.
“She leaves said husband for a really jacked dude from the club named Billy Bad Ass that can flex his pec muscles to the tune of Jingle Bells,” Mathews wrote on Instagram in January of this year. Later, Mathews admitted he was joking, and “made up the last part.”
The relationship saw further stress as 2-year-old son Greyson suffered through a developmental delay.
“People reassured me he would talk around one to one-and-a-half years old,” Farley told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “It came down to him not responding to words that grew my concern. I would ask my husband Roger, ‘Have you seen him respond to his name?’ It was more about him not putting words together and concepts.”
Greyson is currently in behavior and occupational therapy three times a week, and Farley admitted it’s taken an emotional toll.
“Technically we don’t know if it’s a speech issue cause he doesn’t speak,” she explained. “We’re trying to make him understand what words are. He started saying blue. It’s his favorite color. He knows what blue is. He’s learning sign language. We’re teaching him to say open. It helps tremendously.”
Farley, who is also mother to daughter Meilani, 4, with Mathews, even considered walking away from the hit reality show completely to care for her son.
The separation filing has been a long time coming, as the couple put their Toms River home up for sale in December 2017, but the posting was "removed" in February.
