Jenelle Evans Posts 'Home Is Where The Heart Is' Photo After Gun Scandal

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Jenelle Evans is trying to chill out after her gun-toting controversy.

Yesterday, the Teen Mom 2 hellion, 26, posted a photo on Instagram of her boys playing on climbing play equipment in her backyard in the woods.

"Home is where the heart is," her caption read of the peaceful shot taken around sunset.

Backlash hit Evans and her husband David Eason hard this week after he posted a photo of the mother-of-three shooting a gun only hours after 17 people were shot and killed at a Florida high school.

"My babes a bad ass babe! Happy Valentine's Day! #targetpractice #valentinesday #safetyfirst," Eason captioned the snap.

Evans deleted the photo after receiving backlash, as Eason turned off the comments. However, he then made the photo his Twitter profile picture.

Eason defended himself by writing, "What do you think I sit around all day watching TV to check the news before I post a picture… um no b***h." Evans added, "Bad timing."

As RadarOnline.com reported, Eason continued to cause controversy when he posted a meme on Instagram that read, "Legal gun owners have over 200M guns and 12 trillions rounds of ammo. Seriously people, if we were a problem, you'd know it."

He then wrote, "Everyone needs to focus on keeping their family protected and safe instead of focusing on how to deplete our country of its self protection rights!"

After that, a petition to Teen Mom executive producer Morgan J. Freeman was started to get the husband and wife fired from the MTV series because they displayed "gross insensitivity" with their "disturbing" pictures.

Now, it looks like Evans is eager to cool down the controversy by posting a photo of boys playing—with no guns in sight!
