Jenelle Evans is adding teacher to her resume! RadarOnline.com can exclusively confirm the Teen Mom 2 star is homeschooling her stepdaughter Maryssa Eason.
A spokesperson for the Non-Public Education Department of North Carolina Administration exclusively confirmed Evans, 26, completed a notice of intent to operate a home school.
Evans filed the paperwork on March 4, 2018, listing only one student. The name of the school is West Croft Leadership Academy.
According to the Non-Public Education Department, the requirements of operating a home school is to hold at least a high school diploma or its equivalent, send a Notice of Intent to Operate a Home School, selecting a home school name, operate the school on a regular schedule, excluding reasonable holidays and vacations, administer a nationally standardized achievement test annually, and more.
Evans, who married David Eason in September 2017, revealed she is homeschooling Maryssa, 11, over Twitter.
“While you’re over here podcasting away, tweeting pure bullshit about me, or posting #FakeNews… I’ll be over here homeschooling my stepdaughter and minding my business,” she wrote.
The tweet was met with backlash, as followers don’t believe Evans is qualified to homeschool.
“Who let you homeschool a child? I’m confused,” one follower wrote, as a second tweeted, “Someone is allowing you to homeschool? Good lord, that poor kid.”
The MTV star’s enemy Kailyn Lowry even took a jab at the news.
“Is her stepdaughter sitting ‘a crossed’ from her at the table?” she tweeted.
It appeared Maryssa was thriving in school, as Eason posted a photo of his daughter winning a writing award on May 31.
