Fans Start Petition To Have Jenelle Evans & David Eason Fired From ‘Teen Mom 2’
Could Jenelle Evans and David Eason lose their roles on Teen Mom 2? After they posted a series of "insensitive" photos and comments in regards to the Florida school shooting, fans have started a petition to get the husband and wife fired from the MTV series.
The backlash started when Evans and Eason posted a photo of the mother-of-three shooting a gun only hours after 17 people were shot and killed at a Florida high school.
“My babes a bad ass babe! Happy Valentine’s Day! #targetpractice #valentinesday #safetyfirst,” he captioned the snap.
Evans deleted the photo after receiving backlash, as Eason turned off the comments. He then made the photo his Twitter profile picture.
Eason defended himself by writing, “What do you think I sit around all day watching TV to check the news before I post a picture… um no b***h.” Evans added, “Bad timing.”
Eason continued to cause controversy when he posted a meme on Instagram that read, “Legal gun owners have over 200M guns and 12 trillions rounds of ammo. Seriously people, if we were a problem you’d know it.”
He then wrote, “Everyone needs to focus on keeping their family protected and safe instead of focusing on how to deplete our country of its self protection rights!”
Now, a petition to Teen Mom executive producer Morgan J. Freeman has been started to get the husband and wife fired off the MTV series because they displayed “gross insensitivity” with their “disturbing” pictures.

“David posted photos of his wife, Jenelle Eason, holding and aiming a rifle, the same weapon that the gunman used in the Florida massacre,” the description for the petition read. “When questioned on Twitter about why he would post such photos after this tragedy, he attacked several women, calling them ‘b*****s’ and ‘h**s’ and using other threatening and abusive language.”
The description continued, “These people need to be reprimanded for their actions. We urge all of you to sign this petition to get them removed from MTV and fired from ‘Teen Mom 2.’”
At this time, 973 people have signed the petition out of 1,000.
