Transparent actor Jeffrey Tambor is the latest celebrity to be accused of sexual impropriety, and Amazon has confirmed in a statement that the studio is now investigating the allegations, reports Deadline.com.

Van Barnes — Tambor’s former transgender assistant, who previously worked on Caitlyn Jenner’s E! show I Am Cait — claimed on a Facebook post that Tambor had acted inappropriately, allegations the star adamantly denies.

“I am aware that a former disgruntled assistant of mine has made a private post implying that I had acted in an improper manner toward her,” Tambor revealed to Deadline.

“I adamantly and vehemently reject and deny any and all implication and allegation that I have ever engaged in any improper behavior toward this person or any other person I have ever worked with,” Tambor, 73, continued.

“I am appalled and distressed by this baseless allegation.”

Amazon Studios, which has a policy to quickly and thoroughly investigate any such claims, recently weathered another controversy when Roy Price, head of Amazon Studios, was forced to resign amid allegations he sexually harassed Man in the High Castle producer Isa Hackett.
