Janet Jackson Breaks Down While Performing Song About Domestic Violence
In the midst of abuse allegations in her nasty divorce from husband Wissam Al Mana, Janet Jackson broke down at her New York City concert last night, RadarOnline.com can reveal.
At around 10 pm in Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center, the newly single mom, 51, performed “What About” — a 1997 song about a battered woman in a dangerous relationship.
Lyrics from the hit include “What about the times you hit my face?” and “What about the times you yelled at me?”
After a passionate performance, which included male and female dancers mimicking a violent fight, Jackson began breathing heavily, then bent down and wiped tears from her face.
“This right here, is me,” she told fans.
While Jackson has remained tight-lipped on her shocking split, her brother Randy claimed she was involved in an “abusive situation.”
He also said she felt like “a prisoner in her own home.”
