Jack the Ripper's murders will go down in history as some of the most publicized, unsolved crimes of all time. As RadarOnline.com readers know, the unidentified serial killer gained notoriety in 1888 when he brutally slaughtered at least five female prostitutes in the poor, Whitechapel district of London.

While the identity of the killer was never revealed, REELZ's new docuseries is now giving viewers an inside look into his horrific murder sprees, and into the chilling way in which he enticed his innocent targets.

Tim Wescott, the author of the Ripper Confidential, appears in REELZ's docuseries teaser to talk about Jack the Ripper's dead victims and what their deceased bodies told investigators about the killer.

"Her hands were clenched, but her rings were missing…and what this told us is that Jack the Ripper had, in fact, mugged her, prior to attacking her," says Wescott in the clip.

He added that the victims did not think they were being targeted by the notorious serial killer, they likely believed he was just a common street mugger taking their priced belongings.

"But before they could do anything, he had his arm around their neck and was knocking them unconscious. So that gives u san insight into how Jack the Ripper would lure his victims into compliance," said Wescott.

Murder Made Me Famous: Jack the Ripper airs Saturday, August 18 at 9:00 ET / PT on REELZ.
