Sad Last Words: Wife Of Howard Stern Engineer Revealed Dying Wish Amid Cancer Crisis
Scott Salem’s wife of 36 years has lost her battle to cancer after years of suffering. As RadarOnline.com has learned, Howard Stern's longtime engineer took to Twitter to reveal the heartbreaking news this Father's Day weekend.
The 65-year-old engineer—who’s worked for The Stern Show for over three decades—made a desperate plea to his friends and fans this April, asking them to help donate money to support his wife's medical expenses.
Sadly, Robin Salem—who suffered from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Colon cancer for four long years—unexpectedly passed away this Sunday, June 16.
"It's with great sadness I inform u that Robin Salem, my wife, partner and best friend for the past 36 yrs has passed away. Through your kindness and support she was able to be as comfortable as possible in her final days. I'm heartbroken #RIPRobin I Love You,” tweeted Scott.
Before her time was up, Robin spoke exclusively to RadarOnline.com. At the time, she revealed that her dying wish was to witness her son, Matthew, get married.
"I've been suffering from three types of cancer," Robin said. " I've been suffering for four years. But I'm a tough cookie. I keep fighting because when my son gets a girlfriend and when he gets married I want to be there—that's what I'm living for. I'm fighting for him. My son."

"He is the best son I could ever have," Robin added tearfully. "I'm living for him. He has a job out in California and they made him leave. They told him to go back to New York to your mom. He is now working here. He is very smart. And as smart as he is, his heart is so kind. I just want to walk him down the aisle."
But tragically, Robin was never able to fulfill her final wish.
Not surprisingly, Howard Stern, 64, has yet to address Scott’s tragic loss.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, a family insider claimed the shock jock deserted Scott and his family during their time of need.
“You know what, Howard is Howard. He is a selfish son of a b**ch,” blasted the family insider. “There is no rumor, it’s the truth. He has not helped,” the insider revealed earlier this year. “He has given nothing. Howard has known Scott for 31 years — he’s aware of the situation.”
While Howard has failed to contribute, former Stern Show sidekick Artie Lange has donated to the Scott family several times, and even threw them a fundraising event a few weeks before Robin's death.
Robin previously told RadarOnline.com she was so grateful to Artie for putting his energy into helping her.
"I wrote Lange a letter recently and he told me it made him stop and think about his life and not doing bad things. Artie is a wonderful soul. I can say the world about him. He doesn't need to help. But he did," she said on her finals days.
Robin was 66 years old at the time of her demise.
