Howard Remains Silent After Host Accused Of Snubbing Coworker’s Cancer-Stricken Wife

Howard Stern refused to address the elephant in the room on his radio show Monday morning, after he faced tons of backlash for failing to contribute to a coworker in his time of need, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

In a desperate plea, Scott Salem — Stern's longtime engineer of 31 years — took to social media last week to post about a GoFund Me page he created asking for donations to help his cancer-stricken wife, Robin.

While Stern's former sidekick, Artie Lange, along with hundreds of fans, donated to Scott to help pay for Robin's medical expenses, Stern was noticeably silent on the matter. Instead, he went on a thirty-minute soliloquy at the start of his show, where he discussed his contributions to various animal organizations.

"I love when people go, 'f**k you, what about donating to people?' It doesn't mean I don't give to people, it's just I care about animals too, you f**k.'" Stern said in defense of his involvement of animal rescue.

As Stern went on about animals, there was never any mention of Scott or his ailing wife, Robin.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, a family insider revealed that Stern had not contributed a penny to help save Scott's wife.

"Howard is Howard. He is a selfish son of a b**ch,” the insider said. “There is no rumor, it’s the truth. He has not helped. He has given nothing. Howard has known Scott for 31 years — he’s aware of the situation.”

Despite the radio hosts lack of contribution, Scott has surpassed his $50,000 fundraising goal.
