Hillary Clinton may have gone down as the biggest lush to ever sit in the oval office since Franklin D. Roosevelt had she won the presidential election against Donald Trump.

"Hillary would be the booziest president since FDR," writes Amy Chozick in Chasing Hillary, a 375-page account — out tomorrow but exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com — of the New York Times reporter's 10 years covering Clinton's two failed presidential campaigns.

"Beset by stereotypes that she is a hall-monitor type, buttoned up and bookish, churchgoing and dutiful, but not much fun at a keg party, in reality, Mrs. Clinton enjoys a cocktail – or three – more than most previous presidents," writes Chozick.

After her "devastating" defeat to Donald Trump, Clinton confessed herself she'd turned to the bottle to cope with the loss.

"I'm doing OK," she said at a commencement speech Wellesley College over a year ago. "I won't lie: Chardonnay helped a little, too!"

She also confessed in her memoir to indulging in booze.

"It wasn't all yoga and breathing: I also drank my share of chardonnay," she admits in her book What Happened.

Clinton was so distraught by the campaign loss, friends and family even suggested she pick up prescription pills!

"Friends advised me on the power of Xanax and raved about their amazing therapists," she said. "But that wasn't for me. Never has been."
