Gwyneth Paltrow Says Ex-Husband Chris Martin Is ‘Like My Brother’

Gwyneth Paltrow remains extremely close to baby daddy Chris Martin after their “conscious uncoupling” – so much so, that she calls him her sibling! During an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s Late Night show, the actress spoke of her “wonderful relationship” with her ex-husband and of her incredible romance with fiancé Brad Falchuk.

“He’s really like my brother, we’re very familial. It’s nice, it’s great,” Paltrow, 45, said of ex-hubby Chris Martin, 40.

She added that while their divorce – like everyone’s – was “terrible,” and “very painful,” and “really hard,” they were both determined to keep they lives of their two children as normal as possible. As readers know, the blonde beauty shared 13-year-old daughter Apple and 11-year-old son Moses with the English rocker.

“We really genuinely wanted our kids to be as unscathed as possible,” Paltrow told Colbert, 53, this Thursday. “We thought if we could really maintain the family even though we weren’t a couple that was kind of the goal so that’s what we’ve tried to do.”

Paltrow has previously spoken of her close relationship with Martin, even sharing a sweet Instagram snap of him and husband-to-be, Brad Falchuk, 46.

“Sunday brunch #modernfamily” she captioned the photo.
