Late Singing Icon Glen Campbell's Estate 'Paralyzed' In Court

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The late singer Glen Campbell's estate has been "paralyzed" in court, according to The Tennessean.

On Tuesday, July 3, Campbell's longtime publicist, Stanley B Schneider, asked a judge for additional powers as the interim administrator of the singer's estate.

Warning that federal deadlines are approaching, Schneider has asked in Davidson Probate Court in Nashville, Tenn., for the ability to hire accountants and other experts to estimate the future value of royalties and other assets.

Attorneys for Campbell's longtime publicist Schneider said in court docs that even though the estate was filed nine months ago, administrative duties have been paralyzed by the limited powers set by the court in February.

After the "Rhinestone Cowboy" singer died at age 81 on Aug. 8, 2017 following Alzheimer's disease, his wife Kimberly filed his will. But three of his children were excluded from it and have challenged the document.

There has been no explanation as to why three of the children were cut out.

In legal papers, Schneider's petition asks the court to order those contesting the will to certify the will contest "so that he can form an expectation of how long he will be required to serve."

In a shocker, Campbell's estate was initially estimated to be $50 million, but is now reportedly valued at just $410,000.

Campbell's kids Travis and his older half-sister Debby filed a lawsuit in 2015, claiming Kim had kept them from seeing their father for more than a year when he was in a long-term care facility for Alzheimer's.

The country crooner was robbed of his ability to speak in his devastating final days.

The brother and sister won their legal battle to visit him in 2016.

But the family torment goes on in court!
