George Clooney's Terrifying Accident: Drugs & Alcohol Not Ruled Out As Cause Of Crash
Drugs and alcohol have not been ruled out as the cause of George Clooney's terrifying traffic accident, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
Costa Corallina Citta Operativa Giacamo D'Angelo told RadarOnline.com exclusively that cops are "still investigating" the crash between the actor's scooter and a car on the Italian island of Sardinia early this morning.
"Another car, a Mercedes, came from Olbia to Porto San Palo," Giacamo said. "The other car hit the motorcycle of George Clooney."
The star "got hurt," the official continued. "His expected prognosis is 20 days to get better."
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, Giacamo said, adding that it is unclear if the driver or possible passengers were wearing seatbelts.
According to local news outlet Corriere Della Sera, the driver was identified as Antonello C.
"I had the sun in my face, I did not see anything, I just felt a stroke," he told the website.
Antonello claimed Clooney "cried out in pain," and "held his head in his hands."
The driver remained with him until help arrived to the scene.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Clooney hit the car's windshield and was flung 20 feet in the air.
He was treated and released for his injuries, and is now recovering with wife Amal, 40, by his side.
