Things are looking up for former Cosby Show star Geoffrey Owens! Days after RadarOnline.com broke the news that the actor had been working as a cashier at Trader Joe's in New Jersey, a Hollywood producer offered him a job—and it looks like he might take it!
"#GeoffreyOwens I'm about to start shootings OWN's number one drama next week! Come join us!!! I have so much respect for people who hustle between gigs. The measure of a true artist," tweeted Tyler Perry this Tuesday morning.
His kind comment gained a lot of traction on social media, and later that afternoon, was addressed by Owens during his appearance on Entertainment Tonight.
"That was kind of cool," Owens, 57, said. "I mean, that kind of sounded like he was saying, 'Come work with me.' I'm so, like, skeptical. Like, really? Are you actually saying come work with me? Because we've never worked together before. So, that's a very, very generous thing for him to say. And we'll see what happens with that. But, that's encouraging."
RadarOnline.com readers know Owens openly spoke about his supermarket job during a talk with Good Morning America. Though he was embarrassed that people found out about his gig, he said that no one should feel sorry for him, because he had a wonderful TV career.
