Days after RadarOnline.com broke the news that the former Cosby Show star was working a as a cashier at Trader Joe’s, the Hollywood producer took to Twitter to praise his hustle, and offer him a TV gig.
“#GeoffreyOwens I’m about to start shootings OWN’s number one drama next week! Come join us!!! I have so much respect for people who hustle between gigs. The measure of a true artist,” wrote Perry, 48, at the time.
The role he was referring to was a 10-episode appearance on drama series The Haves and the Have Nots!
The show, which is now on its sixth season, shoots in Atlanta—and according to a report, Owens, 57, will be flying there next week!
While Owens previously told Entertainment Tonight that he was very “skeptical” of Perry’s offer, it all seemed to have worked out well in the end for the beloved actor.
