He reportedly opened fire on police, prompting return fire, before barricading himself inside.

A SWAT team entered the building to discover Honeycutt dead at the scene.

And it has now been revealed that Honeycutt died from a ‘self-inflicted’ gun shot after exchanging fire with a SWAT team.

Honeycutt played at UCLA in the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons before being drafted by the NBA's Sacramento Kings.

He then spent two years in the NBA before playing basketball in Europe from 2014-18.
