Former UCLA Basketball Player Tyler Honeycutt Dead After Police Standoff - Details
Former UCLA basketball star Tyler Honeycutt is dead following a standoff with the police.
Los Angeles Police Department revealed that, a male suspect in his 20s, later identified as Honeycutt, was involved in an "Officer-involved shooting" at Riverside Drive and Tyrone Avenue in Sherman Oaks, California.
Police reported to Honeycutt's residence at 5 p.m. local on Friday after Honeycutt's mother called, saying her son was acting erratically.
He reportedly opened fire on police, prompting return fire, before barricading himself inside.
A SWAT team entered the building to discover Honeycutt dead at the scene.

He then spent two years in the NBA before playing basketball in Europe from 2014-18.
