Sister Of CNN Host Don Lemon Dead After Freak Accident
The older sister of CNN host Don Lemon has died. As RadarOnline.com has sadly learned, L'Tanya “Leisa” Lemon Grimes, drowned in a freak accident when she fell into a Louisiana pond while fishing. She was 58.
After the tragic news, Don Lemon, 51, failed to show up for his on-screen gig. Later, CNN released a statement on the family’s behalf.
“The Lemon/Grimes family would like to thank everyone for their condolences and prayers at this time. Our family has suffered the tragic loss of L'Tanya 'Leisa' Lemon Grimes and we are leaning on each other for strength at this time. We appreciate privacy as we grieve the loss of our loved one,” read the heartbreaking announcement.
Don also took to Twitter to thank fans for their support, and to share a sweet photo of him with his big sister.
“Thanks everyone for your words of sympathy,” he wrote this Thursday night. “Please keep my family in your prayers. Leisa was my oldest sister & partner in crime growing up. Always had my back. #RIPbigSis”
