Dina Lohan is itching to join The Real Housewives of New York City for its next season, but RadarOnline.com has learned that producers are not so thrilled about the idea of welcoming the aging star onto their show.
Sources say Dina reached out to the show’s main producers, demanding to be included in the cast.
“They should throw me in the mix,” the star said, adding that she is a born-and-raised New Yorker.
Bravo producers however, insisted that their aim with RHONY is to showcase the growing relationships between women who already know each other.
An insider said network execs don't think introducing a new cast member is a good idea, despite Dina being "great fun."
As Radar previously reported, the 54-year-old cougar rose to fame thanks to her famous daughter Lindsay Lohan, and stood by her side as her manager, until the teenage actress left Hollywood and fell into a pit of partying and addiction.
