Courteney Cox and David Arquette are butting heads over the welfare of their teen daughter Coco, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

“Courteney still tries to micromanage Coco, who is quickly outgrowing her mom’s control-freak ways,” says an insider. “She’s getting sick of being raised under the strictest rules and conditions, and she’s been complaining to her dad about it.”

David has been married to entertainment host Christina McLarty since 2015. The two also share a four-year-old son, Charlie West, and Coco has noticed how her dad’s parenting style differs from her Friends mom.

“She sees him raising his kids with his new partner in such a relaxed way,” the source added.

David’s apparently suggested to his ex that she ease up a bit on their 14-year-old kid, and give her a little more freedom, but Courteney’s not having it.

“She primarily raised Coco and won’t have David stepping in to unravel all of her parenting,” the insider confessed. “But David’s worried that if she’s not careful, Coco will rebel, big time.”
