Chris Martin Felt ‘Completely Worthless’ After Gwyneth Paltrow Split - Details

It appeared like the most amicable celebrity split ever.

But in reality Chris Martin went through hell during his ‘conscious uncoupling’ from Gwyneth Paltrow.

Although they put on a untied from after their 2014 split after 10 years together, even performing a duet at son Moses’ school play, secretly Chris felt “completely worthless”

Opening up about his feelings in a new documentary Coldplay: A Head Full of Dreams, Martin, 41, said he felt like “nothing to anybody.”

He added: “I was just like, ‘I’m a mess,’ really, because I can’t enjoy the great things around me.

“I went through a breakup with Gwyneth — listen, I’m never going to moan, I’m grateful for everything, but it was pretty touch and go.”

However, fortunately for Martin he found comfort from bandmates Will Champion, Guy Berryman and Jonny Buckland.

“Your mind can go to the worst-case scenario,” band manager Phil Harvey explained.

“I was worried about him to the extent that I was just really glad to get a text in the morning, just to know he was okay.”

Martin has since found happiness with actress Dakota Johnson while Paltrow recently married Brad Falchuk.

But his split FROM the Oscar winner definitely left an emotional mark on him.

“It was a challenging period,” he revealed.

“It was a journey from ultimate loneliness to ultimate togetherness.”

The documentary screens in cinemas worldwide on November 14 and will be available on streaming services from November 16.
