One year after Fox News CEO Roger Ailes died following his sexual harassment scandal, Annapurna is producing a new movie about his life and tumultuous career. According to various reports, the explosive film will be written by The Big Short screenwriter Charles Rudolph and will star Charlize Theron as network superstar Megyn Kelly.
Theron, 42, bears an uncanny resemblance to Kelly, 47, and will reportedly play the former lawyer in the untitled project.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Megyn Kelly gained her fame as The Kelly Files host following ten years with the network. In 2017, she moved to NBC and debuted her morning Today show.
In her 2016 memoir, Settle for More, the famed host detailed the alleged sexual harassment she received from Ailes during their years working together. In the book, she claimed the shamed CEO constantly made advances towards her and tried to forcibly kiss her, though she always denied him and eventually reported his inappropriate actions to her supervisor.
A collection of other Fox News staffers later came forward to accuse the disgraced former chairman of similar sexual misconduct.
Roger Ailes quit his high-profile position in July 2016 and vehemently denied all sexual harassment claims until his death in May 2017.
