Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill & Other Stars To Perform At Aretha Franklin’s Funeral
Aretha Franklin will be laid to rest this August 31 in Detroit—but not before her many talented friends honor the beloved Queen of Soul’s life with an enchanting evening of performances.
Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, Shirley Caesar, and Chaka Khan are all set to perform at Franklin’s funeral, the late singer’s late publicist, Gwendolyn Quinn told the Associated Press.
Gospel singers Yolanda Adams, Marvin Sapp and Vanessa Bell Armstrong will also perform at Franklin’s private funeral, as will The Aretha Franklin Choir and the Aretha Franklin Celebration Choir.
Despite the tragic occasion, it will surely be an inspiring night of music, love and prayers.
RadarOnline.com readers know Stevie Wonder was one of the last people to see Franklin before her sad death on August 16.
At that time, Franklin’s heartbroken family had already begun preparing her funeral, as a source told RadarOnline.com they did not believe the 76-year-old would make it, after years of battling cancer.
