British Grandma Dies After Banana Boat Flips Over In Egypt
An amusing water activity turned into a tragedy for a British family vacationing in Egypt when a banana boat flipped over, killing a beloved grandmother.
As RadarOnline.com has learned, Janice Bowles, 58, was thrown into the ocean after the boat driver took a sharp turn while in rough waters on August 21.
She and her daughter, Hannah Barcroft, 36, were two of the six passengers aboard the boat at the time.
"First of all, he lifted both hands up above his head and then turned round and was doing no hands, no hands'," said Barcroft, describing how the driver was joking around before her grandma was thrown off the boat.
Some passengers lifted their hands up with the driver, but a harsh turn suddenly caused the inflatable banana boat to turn over—the brutal impact allegedly killing Bowles.
