Bode Miller & Wife Welcome Baby Boy — 4 Months After Daughter's Drowning Death

Four months after their toddler daughter, Emmy, passed away, Bode Miller and wife Morgan Beck have just welcomed a son.

The athlete couple's midwife, Lindsey Meehleis, told Today that the baby boy was born in a birth pool this Friday, October 5, at 1:34p.m.

"Exactly one month before Emmy's second birthday… the sun rose and they knew this day would be different. An overwhelming feeling of joy started to fill a valley of deep grief and sadness," Meehleis said.

"Morgan's fingers grasped onto their son, who filled such empty arms," she continued. "While nothing will ever replace the feeling of aching arms to hold Emmy again, this baby provided something new this day: joy, inspiration and hope."

RadarOnline.com readers know Miller, 40, and Beck, 31, publicly mourned the tragic death of 19-month-old daughter Emeline, who died by drowning in a neighbor's pool earlier this year.

At the time, Beck was about five months pregnant with her son, and instantly began warning parents about the dangers of swimming pool accidents.

While she and Miller continue to mourn the passing of their beautiful toddler girl, they are happy to continue growing their family.

Congratulations Bode Miller and Morgan Beck!
