Caught Red-Handed! Blake Shelton’s Restaurant Cited for Violations
Blake Shelton has a big ole problem at his Oklahoma restaurant, Ole Red, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.
According to documents on file with the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Shelton’s Tishomingo restaurant was inspected last August shortly before its September grand opening and was cited for four violations!
Oklahoma’s Johnston County health inspector Paul Gilbert performed the food examination on Aug. 29, 2017 for the purpose of issuing the restaurant its license, according to the docs.
Unfortunately, Shelton had more than a couple changes to make.
According to the documents, Shelton’s establishment failed to protect food from contamination. Gilbert wrote on the report that the restaurant had “raw beef stored over cooked product.”
Additionally, the business was in violation of appropriate food temperature controls for safety as it was found to have “no probe thermometers,” the document states.

Tishomingo’s Ole Red is the country star’s first endeavor into the food and beverage industry. According to the restaurant’s website, another restaurant is opening sometime in 2018.
Gilbert found another issue within the kitchen. “No date mark on cooked turkey,” his report states.
Additionally, the restaurant failed to have all of its restroom facilities up to par.

“Employee restroom door does not self close,” the health inspector wrote.
The menu features Southern staples, like brisket nachos, chicken and waffles, pan friend meatloaf and a variety of burgers.
While all four of these health inspector issues can be fixed, some of Shelton’s fans who have already visited the restaurant slammed it for its less-than-average food and poor service.
“2 people ordered the onion burger and have had upset stomachs since about 1.5 hrs after eating and are still dealing with it,” one upset fan wrote on the company’s Facebook page.
The country star doesn’t appear to be severely affected by his restaurant woes, however. Days ago, Shelton was enjoying a couples’ getaway with his love, Gwen Stefani in Playa del Carmen, RadarOnline.com reported.
Gilbert told RadarOnline.com that he will be returning to Shelton’s restaurant sometime in the next five months for a second inspection. According to the law, Ole Red needs to be inspected two times a year, he said.
“I’ll be doing another inspection anytime between January to July,” Gilbert explained.
