Will He Be Freed? Prisoner Bill Cosby Allowed To Petition Court For Bail

Bill Cosby lost his fight for a reduced sentence and a new trial after he was ordered to three to 10 years in prison for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand — but he has a glimmer of hope for at least a temporary release, RadarOnline.com can report.

According to Pennsylvania's Montgomery County Court documents filed by Judge Steven T. O'Neill on October 23, the 81-year-old prisoner "has a qualified right to petition the court for bail pending appeal."

He was also given the opportunity to file a "direct appeal" to the Superior Court within 30 days of O'Neill's order.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Cosby was furious with his prison sentence, and hired a team of experts to work on freeing him from incarceration. Cosby believes "he'll be home in no time," a source told RadarOnline.com last month. "He thinks the court won the battle, but the war has yet to begin."
