Ben’s Secret Struggle: How Troubled Affleck Kept His Rehab Stay Under Wraps
Ben Affleck was so determined to focus on his recovery in rehab, RadarOnline.com has learned, that he kept his treatment a secret for weeks!
As RadarOnline.com reported, Affleck recently completed rehab at a California facility. Before he announced the news himself today, very few outside of his inner circle were aware of his decision.
In fact, an insider told RadarOnline.com, “He was actually in rehab at the time of the Oscars! He got a pass out for that night to attend the awards.”
Affleck revealed the details of his secret journey in a searingly honest Facebook post on March 14.
“I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I’ve dealt with in the past and will continue to confront,” he wrote in a shocking Facebook post on Tuesday afternoon. “I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be.”
“I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step,” he wrote. “I’m lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen Garner, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I’ve done the work I set out to do. This was the first of many steps being taken towards a positive recovery.”
