Actress Ann Heche called it quits from her boyfriend James Tupper and just filed a petition to establish custody and child support of their 8-year old son, according to documents obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com!
According to the documents filed Wednesday by Heche, the star — who famously dated Ellen DeGeneres — is asking the court to determine joint custody and “reasonable visitation” between her and Tupper regarding their son, Atlas.
One-time divorced Heche is also asking that Tupper pay any legal fees she may endure during the court battle.
Heche, 48, and Tupper, 52, co-starred in the 2006 dramedy Men in Trees and reportedly left her husband, cameraman Coleman “Coley” Laffoon, for Tupper. Heche and Tupper moved in together in August 2007 and the two had their son nearly two years later. Heche and Tupper also starred in the Syfy network show Aftermath.
Anne split with DeGeneres in 2000 after a three year relationship, and in September 2001 she married Laffoon, a cameraman she met the previous year on Ellen's stand-up comedy tour.
But things between Heche and Coleman fizzled fast and the two got tangled in a nasty divorce showdown. Their divorce was finalized in March 2009, and according to court documents filed at the time, the actress had to pay $3,700 a month in child support for their son Homer, who is now 14.
The cameraman had attacked her claiming she had poor parenting skills and alleged she was "mentally unstable"
She shot back by accusing him of being a "lazy a**." She went off on him during a biting interview on Late Show with David Letterman. When Letterman inquired about her ex Coley Laffoon— the father of her 7-year-old-son Homer – Heche asked : “Can you say ‘lazy a**’ on TV?”
Heche and Tupper haven't been seen together since September 2017. The duo were last spotted packing on the PDA at HBO Emmys after-party in Los Angeles.
