Ditching The Spotlight! Amy Duggar Tells All On Shocking New Business
Feb. 25 2019, Updated 11:35 a.m. ET
Amy Duggar can add business owner to her resume!
The Duggar family’s rebellious cousin exclusively revealed to RadarOnline.com that in the coming weeks, she will officially open her own business – and it has nothing to do with reality TV!
The former 19 Kids and Counting star dished to RadarOnline.com on Tuesday that she is opening up a brick and mortar clothing boutique in Springdale, Arkansas, which is the same town where her giant family lives.
Amy said the business will be named 3130 and explained the special meaning behind it.
“It stands for Proverbs 31, which is the beauty of a woman,” Amy told RadarOnline.com. “I just want to capture the essence of a woman in the clothing, with a lot of different textures and curated items. Just different pieces that are specialty and fun.”
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Amy grew up as the rebel of the family for her non-traditional outfit choices that went against Michelle and Jim Bob’s strict rules. Unlike her famous cousins, who were raised to dress modestly, Amy has a history of playing with style.
Her clothing boutique will be no different than that, she said.
“There will be some low-cut pieces,” Amy revealed. “There are going to be bell sleeves, fun neck lines, great denim and rompers. You’ll never find a t-shirt at my place.”
Amy said she plans to hand-pick every piece of item for the boutique. The ex-reality star also has plans to divert from her usual theme of rustic, farmhouse looks for the shop's interior.
“I’m turning down the whole rustic look,” Amy explained. “It’s going to be upscale with velvet furniture, plush and girly decor. I want the upscale design without that upscale price tag.”
In addition to being a first-time business owner, Amy said the venture is also a new opportunity because she’ll be working side-by-side with her husband, Dillon. Dillon is also a co-owner of 3130.
“We’re in this together!” Amy added. “It’s going to be a busy time in our lives but we’re excited for all of the possibilities.”
Amy said she plans to open the store in December.
