Nicole Curtis Had Son 'Ripped Out Of' Her Arms On Thanksgiving Due To Custody Battle
Nicole Curtis' holiday spirit was crushed this Thanksgiving when her child was taken from her amid due to her nasty custody battle.
"The holidays are a nightmare because I would have all of us together — friends, family, enemies alike," Curtis, 42, told PEOPLE in a recent interview. "Thanksgiving was not my parenting time; therefore, I could not be with Harper."
As RadarOnline.com has learned, the TV beauty's legal feud with ex, Shane Maguire, is far from over, and seems to keep getting more brutal as time goes by. During her talk with PEOPLE, the Rehab Addict star claimed her baby daddy keeps her away from their son during his parenting time, while she allows him to see Harper whenever he wants.
"Even on the worst day, my ex is encouraged and welcomed in our home. We recently all went trick-or-treating together, even thought it was 'my parenting time.' I always hope that the same courtesy will be extended, but it is not. I am not permitted to be with Harper during his time with his dad," she said.
Curtis then explained that her young son was very sick the night before Thanksgiving, which is why she didn't drop him off at his dad's home and instead met him at the airport the next day. But Maguire did not take the delay well.
"I can't express in words what it feels like looking at your sick baby and being told that a 'parenting time' schedule trumps their wellbeing. I woke up Thanksgiving morning and thanked God that I was able to have that time with him," said the star. "I arrived at the airport and literally had my baby ripped out of my arms and whisked away as I was 'screwing up' Thanksgiving plans. The cycle never ends."
Due to her custody agreement with Maguire, the home renovator was forced to spend the holiday alone — but she did not stay quiet. On Instagram, Curtis posted a throwback photo of her with her two sons, at the same time slamming her ex in the caption.
"If you are the parent that refuses to allow your child the joy of having both parents in the same room (sans abusive/dangerous situation) – buck up – it's not about you," she wrote.
As readers know, Curtis has been dealing with two troublesome baby daddies for some years now. This January, RadarOnline.com reported the show host's first ex, Steve Cimini, was facing jailtime for failing to pay her child support for son Ethan, 20.
