Tom Petty’s family is moving on after his tragic death from an ‘accidental overdose’.

His family has put the lakeside retreat on the market for $5.495 million when it was previously listed for $5.895 million.
It was recently revealed that Petty, died aged 66, from an ‘accidental drugs overdose’ following a coroner’s report.
The ‘Free Fallin’ singer used to love to relax at the 5300 sq ft home that boasts three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
A source revealed: “It has been a difficult time for the family but they have decided to sell this property which was a favorite spot for Tom Petty.”
The source added: “There are lake and mountain views from the master suite, living and dining rooms and balconies. It a beautiful spot and represents a great opportunity for a music fan to snap up an American rock icon’s former home.”
Built in 1931 and later expanded, the house features hardwood floors, vaulted and beamed ceilings and a massive fireplace in the great room.
Outdoors there are lush landscaping that includes mature olive and cypress trees while at the edge of the property there is 125 feet of lake frontage, a boat ramp and a dock.
Petty, who died last year, and who fought various health issues, bought the home more than a decade ago for about $4.41 million records show.
