That Was Quick! 25 Of Hollywood's All-Time Shortest Marriages

So much for 'till death do us part! Many celebs have had quickie marriages -- some even shorter than Kim Kardashian's 72-day union to Kris Humphries -- and we've got a look at all of them right here on RadarOnline.com.

Janet Jackson and James DeBarge

Joe Jackson was not a happy man when his daughter Janet, then 22, eloped and secretly wed R&B singer James DeBarge in 1984. But the marriage was annulled four months later and the Nasty singer would go on to marry two more times.

Elizabeth Taylor and Conrad “Nicky” Hilton

Nicky Hilton – Paris’ sister – is not the only Hilton to have had a quick marriage. Aged 24, in May 1950 their great-uncle Conrad “Nicky” Hilton married an 18-year-old Elizabeth Taylor. Taylor filed for divorce after just 205 days of marriage (which included a three-month long honeymoon) citing “extreme mental cruelty” as the cause.

Ethel Merman and Ernest Borgnine

The third time was not lucky for Ethel Merman and Ernest Borgnine when they wed in 1964. The Hollywood veterans – who were 56 and 47 respectively – had two failed marriages each before taking the plunge again.

But they divorced 32 days later and Borgnine said the relationship was “hell on earth.”

Rick Salomon and Shannen Doherty

Rick Salomon, 45, has another quickie marriage under his belt. In 2002 he eloped with Shannen Doherty reportedly after just two days of dating. When the marriage was annulled nine months later, Doherty said it was a “heart-crushing thing” that it ended.

Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon

Kid Rock is not the only man to briefly call Pamela Anderson his wife. In October 2007 Rick Salomon – a poker player and Paris Hilton’s sex tape co-star – married the actress during a 90-minute break between her Las Vegas shows. Two months later the couple filed papers to have the marriage annulled citing “fraud” as the cause.

Nicky Hilton and Todd Meister

Paris Hilton’s sister Nicky, 29, was briefly wed to New York businessman Todd Meister, 42, in 2004. After just three months of dating the couple wed in Las Vegas in August. Two months later, blaming their long-distance romance as the cause, they started annulment proceedings and were officially over by Thanksgiving.

Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Evelyn Lozada

This couple split up before the VH1 reality TV special about their 2012 wedding even aired. Just 41 days after they tied the knot on July 4 – and three days after he allegedly head-butt her – the Basketball Wives star filed for divorce from the 35-year-old NFL star. A judge granted her wish in September last year.

Chris Kattan and Sunshine Tutt

When Chris Kattan married his girlfriend Sunshine Tutt in June 2008 he had high hopes for their relationship. He said at the time that it ”feels real and honest” and I have “more of a continuous smile than I ever had before.” There was nothing to smile about when they separated eight weeks later and divorced a few months after that.

Colin Farrell and Amelia Warner

Put this one under the Eddie Murphy/Tracey Edmonds and Mick Jagger/Jerry Hall definition of “marriage.” Because, even though they exchanged vows in July 2001 before splitting four months later, British singer Amelia Warner claims she wasn’t officially married to actor Colin Farrell. She told British newspaper The Sun in 2011 they had “a ceremony on a beach in Tahiti that was by no means legal…”

The fact they had been a couple for five years before they wed should have bode well for Hank Azaria and Helen Hunt. But they separated 11 months after their July 1999 wedding and in December 2000 the actress filed for divorce. When asked how soon you return the gifts after a quickie marriage, Azaria, 49, told Elle: “My mother worried about it. That was a genuine dilemma.”

Shannen Doherty and Ashley Hamilton

Back in 1993 Hollywood hell raiser Shannen Doherty, then 22, married her boyfriend 19-year-old boyfriend Ashley Hamilton. The Beverly Hills, 90210 star had only been dating the son of George Hamilton and Alana Stewart for two weeks. But five months after their nuptials in the backyard of her Santa Monica apartment Doherty filed for divorce.

Renée Zellweger and Kenny Chesney

She was the inspiration for his country hit You Had Me At Hello, but maybe Kenny Chesney wishes he had kept his relationship with Renée Zellweger to that one-word greeting. The 45-year-old married the Oscar-winner in May 2005 after meeting at a tsunami relief benefit that January. But four months later the couple announced they were getting an annulment citing the “miscommunication of the objective of their marriage” as the reason.

Lisa Marie Presley and Nicolas Cage

Nicolas Cage was such a big fan of Elvis Presley that he married the late singer’s daughter Lisa Marie back in August 2002. But any hunk of Burning Love that was smoldering between the two quickly cooled. Less than four months later it was announced they were getting a divorce.

Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Esposito

Before his breakthrough role in The Hangover Bradley Cooper, 38, had a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it marriage to actress Jennifer Esposito. The couple married in late December 2006 and filed for divorce less than five months later in May 2007. In an interview with radio host Howard Stern, Cooper said: “It just wasn’t right.”

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds

This couple recognized one of the advantages of a destination wedding when they split up in January 2008 two weeks after exchanging vows on a private island off Bora Bora. Their wedding photos barely had time to develop before they announced they would not legalize the union back home in the U.S. No divorce papers or annulment necessary.

Jennifer Lopez and Cris Judd

Fresh off the heels of her romance with P Diddy, Jennifer Lopez, 43, married her backing dancer Cris Judd in September 2001. But that relationship was clearly a pit stop as in June 2002 the couple announced they had split a month earlier. In November the same year she announced her engagement to her Gigli co-star Ben Affleck.

Charlie Sheen and Donna Peele

In the space of a few months Charlie Sheen went from describing his first wife Donna Peele as an “angel” to likening her to an automobile. The 47-year-old married the model on his 30th birthday in September 1995. Five months later they split up and Sheen wryly said: “You buy a bad car, it breaks down.”

Mario Lopez and Ali Landry

In 2011, nearly seven years after ending his two-week marriage to actress Ali Landry, Mario Lopez admitted to shock-jock Howard Stern that in 2004 he “was not ready to settle down.” Now both 39, they are married to other people. But years after the annulment, rumors persist the Extra presenter allegedly cheated on his first wife during his bachelor party.

Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman

Nine days after wedding Carmen Electra in November 1998, Dennis Rodman, 52, decided he wanted out. The former basketball star filed for an annulment claiming he was drunk when he married the actress – but then changed his mind. Six months later – after they were both arrested for battery following a domestic dispute – the Electra filed for divorce.

Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray

“It devastates me now that I have been reduced to a Hollywood statistic – another joke marriage. That’s what Sophia Bush, 31, said about her divorce from her One Tree Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray, 31. The couple ended their five-month marriage in 2005 but continued to work together on the hit show until it was cancelled in 2012.

Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson

It took this couple two engagements, three wedding ceremonies and a four-month marriage to figure out they were not right for each other. After breaking off his engagement to Pamela Anderson, 46, in 2003 Kid Rock married the actress on a yacht in St. Tropez in July 2006. They made it official at a Beverly Hills courthouse and wed again onstage in Nashville in August, before filing for divorce two weeks later.

Britney Spears and Jason Alexander

It took two days for the Toxic singer to regret her spur-of-the-moment decision to marry childhood friend Jason Alexander in Las Vegas in 2004. A frenzied media tried to play catch-up when news of the quickie wedding broke. But 55 hours later Spears, now 31, got the marriage annulled saying she “lacked understanding of her actions” and that she was “incapable of agreeing to marriage.”

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

Whether it was made for TV or made in heaven is still open for debate long after the 72-day marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries ended. Two weeks after their wedding special aired on E! in October 2011, the 32-year-old filed for divorce from the NBA player saying she “had hoped this marriage was forever.” Her divorce was officially granted in June 2013 days before Kardashian gave birth to North, her baby daughter with Kanye West.

Drew Barrymore and Jeremy Thomas

When it comes to quickie weddings Barrymore – now 38 and happily married to husband number three Will Kopelman – has it down pat. In 1994, aged 19, the former wild child skipped down the aisle with Welsh barman Jeremy Thomas in what she called a “truly insane but amazingly…wonderful” ceremony. The couple had been dating for six weeks, were married by a psychic private detective but filed for divorce less than two months later.

Drew Barrymore and Tom Green

Five months – that’s how long it took for Barrymore, then 26, and her comedian hubby Green, to call time on their marriage. The couple was the toast of Hollywood back in 2000 when the actress was a Charlie’s Angel. They wed in July 2001 but by Christmas Green had filed for divorce.
