Divorce For The Kids! Jenelle Could Get Children Back If She Leaves Bad News Husband
May 17 2019, Updated 2:55 p.m. ET
Jenelle Evans has been in court this week fighting for custody of her children after Child Protective Services removed them from her care.
The shocking CPS move comes after her husband David Eason shot and killed their family dog after she nipped at their two-year-old daughter Ensley.
The shooting comes after years of threats, violence and abuse claims against David.
Now, a legal expert is revealing exclusively to RadarOnline.com that divorcing and kicking her bad news husband out could get her children back!
Bye, David
"It could only help Jenelle if she divorced David,” legal expert Monica Lindstrom exclusively told RadarOnline.com. “Divorce may not be enough. She would also need to kick him out.”
Get Out!
Lindstrom continued that having him in the home “could be seen as a danger to the children.”
Right Call?
“On the flip side, he could move out of the home for a time period while he goes through any court requirements,” she said.
United Front
But it appears Jenelle, 27, is sticking by her husband, as they showed a united front at a North Carolina court on Thursday, May 16. They are to appear in court again on Friday, May 17.
Hard Time
“She’s sick over everything,” a source close to Jenelle told RadarOnline.com of the CPS court war. “Her stomach is upside down, she has anxiety, she’s not eating. She doesn’t know what to do. It’s hard.”
Long Process
Beverly Hills Family Law Attorney Adam Michael Sacks previously told RadarOnline.com, “Generally especially at first, the courts want to reunite the family so they try to get the parents to reform. If they go to parenting classes, anger management, etc., and try to improve their parental skills, the kids can be returned.”
Follow The Rules
He said the process could take “1 year or more.” “Parental attitude is everything,” Sacks said. “The parents must cooperate and be sorry and work to improve themselves. If the parents don't take it seriously and don't do as directed, then the kids are seen only monitored and eventually taken away from them permanently.”
Life-Changing Decision
The CPS investigation comes after David shot and killed the family dog Nugget for nipping at their 2-year-old daughter Ensley. The shooting led to Jenelle's firing from Teen Mom 2.
Saving Kaiser
Baby daddy Nathan Griffith’s mom Doris was ordered to get Kaiser, 4, from day care on Friday, May 10.
Staying With Grandma
Jenelle’s mom Barbara, who has custody of Jace, 9, was ordered not give him to Jenelle for Mother’s Day Weekend.
Tough Call
A judge signed off on a request to remove all of the children from Jenelle and David’s care.
Girls Taken Too
Ensley, 2, and David’s daughter Maryssa, 11, from a previous marriage were later removed from their care.
