Stylists & Makeup Artist Reveal Star's Oscar Beauty Secrets

1. Best Actor winner Jean Dujardin looked dapper as-could-be thanks to celebrity hair stylist Louise Moon, who created his look using Leonor Greyl Haircare and Talika skincare. “Jean wanted a natural look tonight, so I created a very simple style,” she explained. After applying Leonor Greyl Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice from roots to ends, Louise quickly blew dry Jean's hair. She then distributed a tiny amount of Leonor Greyl Huile de Palme throughout for added gloss. "This makes the hair look alive with a bit of shine and volume without overpowering him," she explained. To complete the look Moon sprayed Leonor Greyl’s Laque Souple light hairspray, perfect for fine hair. To ensure Jean looked bright-eyed and ready for his big night, Louise applied Talika’s Eye Therapy Patches, which help to minimize dark circles and puffiness. After removing the patches, she ran the Talika Skin Retouch Eye Contour wand beneath both eyes for added rejuvenation.

2. Giuliana Rancic looked fresh-faced and gorgeous with the help of Catalina Su. According to the makeup artist, prior to the big day, Giuliana prepped her skin with DDF’s Amplifying Elixir and Wrinkle Resist plus Pore Minimizer and used the Revolve 400X Micro-Polishing System twice a week to polish away imperfections, making her skin look absolutely incredible without foundation. For the show, Giuliana wore DDF’s Weightless Defense SPF 45+ to protect her skin under the sun in addition to MAC’s Studio Moisture Tint. 3. Kristen Wiig looked Bridesmaids beautiful thanks to Dove Celebrity Stylist Mark Townsend! “I was in love with Kristen's J. Mendel dress as soon as I saw it; I was so inspired by the silhouette and color. We wanted Kristen's hair to be full with voluminous waves and have an edgy and sexy texture," he explained. “I started by applying a large dollop of Dove Style+Care Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse and blow dried the hair with a round brush. I then took 3-inch sections of hair and sprayed each section with Dove Style+Care Thermal Replenishment Spray and then wrapped the hair around a 1 1/2 inch FHI Heat curling iron. When all of her hair had been curled, I took a small amount of Dove Style+Care Frizz-Free Shine Cream-Serum in my hands and rubbed them together and then I raked the product through the hair to break up the curls and give the hair shine and definition. I'm beyond obsessed with this product. It gives you the nourishment of a cream and the shine of a serum in one bottle! I finished her look by spraying Dove Style+Care Strength & Shine Extra Hold Hairspray all over while scrunching the hair with my fingers; this will ensure that the hair is in place all night and give the hair great sexy waves.”

4. Cameron Diaz paired her glam gown with a fuss-free Œdo. “It’s modern, sexy and carefree femininity,” explained her stylist Lona Vigi. To get the look, she blew out Cam’s short hair with the Sultra Sophisticate Power Dryer to infuse volume and shine. Next, she used the Sultra Seductress Curl, Wave & Straight Iron to straighten her hair. Then she used the Seductress to flip up random pieces of hair to infuse texture and create a little bend in others to create even more movement. Finally, she used the Sultra Bombshell One-inch Rod Curling Iron to create loose curl in Cam’s bangs and to add more texture.

5. Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks stunned at the Vanity Fair Party with her sleek look. Celebrity hair stylist Daniel Howell created her stunning look with the help of Joico products. To prep for this look, Howell did an intense conditioning treatment with Joico K-PAK Revitaluxe a couple days prior to the event so the hair would be in great condition to work with. “On Damp hair, I evenly sprayed Joico Smooth Cure Thermal Styling Protectant on the hair to prevent damage from the heat of the dryer,” he explained. “I began sectioning the hair in one inch sections, then starting at the nape I blow dryed each section using a medium round brush, working my way from the nape to the front hairline, making sure that each section was completely dry I directed the roots of the hair downward on the sides and back of the head but on the top of the head I directed the hair up so it would have the lift I needed. When the hair was completely dry I put a bit of Joico K-PAK Color Therapy Restorative Styling Oil on the ends of the hair, which helps to smooth out and dry or split ends and also gives a bit of texture. Then I sectioned the hair on the top of the head and clipped it out of the way. While I brushed the hair on the sides of the head back away from the face, I held the hair at the back of the head near the nape then I twisted the hair gradually moving upwards. Securing it with hair pins as I was twisting. Next, I tucked rest of the hair into the twist making sure the crown was secured with pins. I then ran my fingers through the top section of hair, directing it towards the back. Tucking the ends of the hair and securing with hairpins, I used only my fingers to sweep the hair back so maintain the height and texture. To keep the look, I sprayed Joico's JoiMist Firm Finish Spray. To finish the look, I misted the hair with Joico Design Collection Humidity Blocker, which prevents moisture in the air from making the hair frizzy.

6. Jessica Chastain let her natural beauty shine through with the help of makeup artist Mari Quynh. Face: ”I started by applying mark For Goodness Face Antioxidant Skin Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 followed by mark Primed for Perfection Face Primer all over Jessica’s skin. After creating a strong, moisturized base, I applied mark Min-A-Real Cream-To-Powder Foundation with Mineral Pigments in Buff using the mark Foundation Brush. Next, I touched up any imperfections by dabbing mark Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer in Fair/Light under her eyes and around her nose.” Cheeks: “For a radiant glow, I used the mark Foundation Brush to apply mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Peachy to the apples of Jessica’s cheeks. I dusted mark Matte-Nificent Oil-Absorbing Powder in Ivory/Nude and layered mark Good Glowing Custom Pick Powder Blush in Cameo Glo on the tops of her cheeks using the mark Blush + Bronzer Brush to set the look.” Eyes: “I applied various gold and copper shades from mark On The Dot Netural Eye Color Compact to her eyelid from her lash line to her crease using the mark All Over Eye Shadow Brush, and along her lower lash line using the mark Flat Eyeliner Brush for some added definition. Next, I lined mark Keep it Going Longwear Eyeliner & Shadow in Entourage along her top lash line using the mark Eyeliner Brush, winging the outer corner up for a cat eye effect. I finished by applying two coats of mark Lash All You Want High-Volume Mascara in Black to Jessica’s top and bottom lashes.” Lips: “For Jessica’s lips, I applied mark Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Bare Hug to complete the glowing look.”

Hair stylist Byron Williams gave Rashida Jones a very simple, clean and modern look to go with her vibrantly hued gown. “The vision I had for her hair was simple, straight, modern.” To get her look, he blow dryed her locks really straight, sprayed Illuminating Mist, and then went over with a flat iron. He finished off the look with Spirulina hairspray. As for her makeup, he made sure it was clean with a natural, lightly smoked look for the eyes.

9. Stacy Keibler paired her glam to-the-max gold Marchesa gown with a natural manicure, using OPI nail lacquer in Samoan Sand.
