Lady Gaga Is Electrifying At 'A Star Is Born' Premiere

Was Lady Gaga caught in a bad premiere? Not really, but the screening of her new movie A Star Is Born was struck by lightning after her triumphant appearance in the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival. Ready for her close up! Gaga, 32, arrived at the film festival wearing a dress that was nothing but a sea of pale pink! She wore her hair up in a ladylike blonde bun.
Gaga and actor Cooper, 43, who also directed the film, walked the red carpet together with pride. A Star Is Born is an old story that has been done many times, but they have put a fresh new spin on it.
At the world premiere, however, the movie was struck by lightning at the Venice Film Festival about halfway through its screening on Friday night, as Variety reported.

The incident reportedly caused technical difficulties when the projector bulb for the film blew out, causing the screen to go dark for about 15 minutes.
According to reports, Gaga didn't let the odd blackout ruin her big night. She reportedly laughed at how lightning briefly blew A Star Is Born off the screen!
Festival technicians fixed the problem and Gaga heard nothing but cheers at the end of the movie.
Gaga is best known for singing, and in her new movie, she belts out songs while also being involved in high drama with Cooper's fading crooner character. In the new A Star Is Born, hitting theaters on Oct. 5, Gaga plays a struggling artist who is lifted up by seasoned musician (played by Cooper). She eventually surpasses his fame. A Star Is Born hits theaters on Oct. 5.
