According to Ancestry.com, Kody and Christine share relatives William Moore Allred and Orissa Angela Bates, making them distant cousins.
William and Orissa are parents to Nelson Calvert Allred and Bryon Harvey Allred. Nelson is father to Daisy Josephine Allred, who is mother to Kody’s mom Geneille. As for Bryon, his son is Byron Harvey Allred Jr. Bryon’s son is Rulon Clark Allred, who is Rex Clerk Allred’s dad. Rex is Christine’s dad.
This isn’t the first time a member of the Sister Wives family married a family member! As RadarOnline.com reported, Kody and other wife Janelle’s daughter Maddie is married to her aunt’s brother Caleb Brush. The two welcomed their son in May 2017.

But it gets even more twisted! RadarOnline.com also reported Janelle was once married to a man named Adam Clark Barber, who is other wife Meri’s brother. Janelle and Meri were sisters-in-law before they became sister wives.
The family, who shares 18 children together, recently relocated from Nevada to Arizona. As RadarOnline.com reported, wife Robyn rented a $1,225,859 home while Janelle is living in a $374,000 rental. Kody and Christine are living in a home they bought for $520,000.
This comes after the family purchased a plot of land split into four parcels in June 2018 for $820,000.
The new season of Sister Wives premieres on January 20.
