Ron and Nellie Biles adopted Simone and her younger sister Adria in 2003. Her older sister, Ashley, and brother, Tevin, went to live with relatives in Ohio.
RadarOnline.com previously reported that her father, Kelvin Clemons, was completely isolated from the family. He spent the gymnast’s childhood in-and-out of prison on charges ranging from kidnapping to burglary!
Most notably, he was accused of kidnapping a family member in 1987, but the case was dismissed.

Meanwhile, Ashley’s friend filed a small claims suit against her after she got into a car accident!
“Ashley as driving my car when in accident,” the friend claimed in her 2015 complaint. “Damage need to be tooken care sic. Car was impounded…estimated cost $4,568.77 plus $191 for her license being suspended that I was not aware of.”
Her friend was granted the $3,000 judgment she requested, per court records.
Ashley was previously charged with drug trafficking and possession and OVI.
RadarOnline.com also reported that Simone’s mom, Shanon, was arrested on a slew of charges as well.
She was arrested at least five times during her pregnancy with Simone, and was caught stealing baby clothes in the gold medalists’ earliest days.
She was later arrested for stealing 10 cases of baby formula to feed her children.
