Despite Frankel's "medical crisis" being heavily promoted for the show, viewers didn't tune in to find out what the network had been teasing for weeks.

The highest ever season premiere was for Season 3 in 2010, where Frankel posed nude for a photo shot. That episode had 2.04 million viewers. Meanwhile, The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 premiere in 2015 brought in a whopping 2.96 million viewers.
