Savagely slashed and left for dead, a victim of the jailbird son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal faces years of recovery, claimed a family friend who told RadarOnline.com exclusively: “This was a kill attack! This was him saying, ‘I am going to kill you!’” Aspiring actor Anton Folkerson, 34, spent two days in a coma after the brutal May assault — which police said came at the hands of junkie Redmond O’Neal, who now faces hard time for attempted murder! Authorities charge 33-year-old Redmond plunged a knife THREE-AND-A-HALF INCHES into Anton’s brain before slitting his throat along the carotid artery! Anton’s gruesome injuries are revealed for the first time in a world exclusive photo obtained by RadarOnline.com! Click through for an close-up shot of Folkerson's bloody wounds.

Redmond, who already spent three years behind bars on a probation violation after a drug possession conviction, has been slapped with a slew of new charges for a seven-day California crime wave that stretched from Palm Springs to Santa Monica — and includes the near-fatal attempt on Anton’s life, according to cops.
“The rapid knife blows were like something from the Army,” the pal confessed of the aspiring actor, who had a flawless face before the bloody attack. “He must have practiced with the knife. It was to the forehead then to the ear, behind the eye, and then pulling that out and slashing the neck.”
As blood gushed from his wounds and his life quickly faded, Anton was miraculously saved by three passersby. “If they didn’t stop, I don’t know if he’d be here now,” the pal declared. “One put pressure and helped stem the blood flow from the wound in his neck until the ambulance arrived. The first thing the police officer said to Anton’s mom was: ‘We don’t know if he’ll make it.’”
Redmond was later hauled in on May 8 after cops said he robbed a 7-Eleven at knifepoint for a measly $60 — despite inheriting the $4.5 million estate of his mom, “Charlie’s Angels” bombshell Farrah, who died in 2009.
An investigation — which harvested fingerprints and DNA — connected Redmond to the weeklong spree of violence that ended with his arrest, claimed lawmen, who now want to put Redmond away for 22 years! In a jailhouse interview, the tattooed felon blamed his parents’ fame for his troubles — specifically pointing the finger at his dad, Ryan
Whiny Redmond pegged his problems on “fighting with my father, being kicked out and living on the streets, going to jail, being put in a psychiatric ward, being embarrassed all the time, just because of who my parents are.”
But Ryan insisted his son’s mistakes are not his problem! When shown a photo of injured Anton, 77-year-old Ryan barked, “I didn’t do it — what are you after me for?”
“All Anton’s dreams and aspirations have been ripped away … by a spoiled child,” blasted the pal, who called on Ryan to “step up” and say: “This all started with me.”
When asked if he’d be willing to help his son’s alleged victim, disgruntled Ryan responded, “If I must, I will.”
But Ryan tried to distance himself from his troubled son and said, “Redmond can take care of himself. He’s not my responsibility.”
