‘Prom Mom’ Who Killed Baby In High School Bathroom Now Married Mother of 2
Notorious “Prom Mom” Melissa Drexler, who killed her baby after giving birth in her high school’s bathroom, is now a married mother of two, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report. As RadarOnline.com readers know, on June 6, 1997, Drexler was 18 years old when she suddenly entered her high school bathroom during prom and gave birth to a baby boy. It was later revealed that the teenager managed to hide her nine-month pregnancy from loved ones and her even then-boyfriend, John Lewis. Drexler, seen here as a teen, was a student at Lacey Township High School in New Jersey. During her senior year high school prom, Drexler suddenly entered a bathroom stall and went into labor. She pulled the infant from the toilet, wrapped him in plastic bags and placed him in the trash.
Drexler suddenly returned to the dance floor and requested the deejay to play the Metallica song, “Unforgiven,” the National ENQUIRER reported.
In October 1998, Drexler’s boyfriend, John Lewis, reportedly cried as a judge sentenced the teen to 15 years in prison. The sentence was given after Drexler reached a plea deal, which brought her initial murder charge down to aggravated manslaughter. It's been 21 years since the crime, and RadarOnline.com has learned that Prom Mom now has two young children of her own! In 2016, she announced on her social media account that she was ready for “another cute baby!”
The infamous child murderer and her high school ex-boyfriend have connected since Drexler's despicable crime in the 1990s, RadarOnline.com has learned. According to their social media profiles viewed by RadarOnline.com, Drexler and Lewis complimented each other on having “nice” families.
