Von Anhalt, 75, controlled all of her assets via a consolidated trust in which he is the sole trustee. This was ratified via Gabor’s Will when she died, aged 99 on December 18, 2016.
The glitzy Bel Air estate where Hollywood icon Zsa Zsa Gabor lived for four decades has been sold to a private buyer for a massive $20.8 million.
Gabor and her and final husband, accepted an offer on the house in 2012, but because of an unusual arrangement that allowed the couple to continue living in the home for the rest of Gabor’s life, the deal wasn’t finalized for another 5 years.
Developer Albert Taban put the property back on the market in July and it has now sold to a private buyer, netting Von Anhalt a huge check.
Built in 1955, the Regency-style estate boasts six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, it also has parquet floors, mirrored walls, and ornate chandeliers and sconces.
It was the scene of many star studded parties over the years and also appeared as Liberarce’s home in HBO’s Behind the Candelabra.
It is likely that the home will be developed as it includes plans for a 24,020-square-foot mega mansion with a parking garage the size of two single-family homes.
