The Addams Family star Christina Ricci turned into a bobble-head when
she battled anorexia. She blamed her eating disorder on watching trash
TV. "At the time that I was starting to diet and stuff, I saw this TV
movie, and I thought, 'Ooh - anorexia. I could probably do that,'"
Ricci told The Guardian newspaper in the UK (www.guardian.co.uk) in
2004.

American Idol's first winner Kelly Clarkson got criticized for her
curves on the show, but the Texas native later admitted that she'd
suffered from an eating disorder as a teen after missing out on a high
school musical. "I thought...If I came back and I'm cuter and
thinner...then I'll get the role," she told Cosmogirl.

Long before she met wife Ellen De Generes, Portia De Rossi fell victim
to the Ally McBeal eating disorder curse. The Australian actress has
talked openly about how the pressure in Hollywood to stay skinny
encouraged her binge, purge and eat less than 300 calories a day.

A later 'Idol' alum, Katherine McPhee also admitted to suffering from
anorexia as a teen. "It was how I dealt with emotions and
uncomfortable situations. It was literally a drug," the reality show
runner-up told People.

ex-judge Kara DiGuardi says that rather than starving herself, she
used to pig out when she was upset and eventually ended up in a
treatment center for it.
