Paul Walker died along with his friend Roger Rodas on November 30, 2013, when their Porsche Carrera GT lost control and hit a power pole and some trees before exploding in to flames.
Experienced driver Rodas was driving the car at the time and lost control of it on a quiet industrial estate in Valencia, California.
It was estimated that the car was traveling at 100 mph hour before the impact and that Walker was still breathing after the crash.
His mother Cheryl revealed in a documentary about his life I Am Paul Walker that her son had forgotten that he had to attend a fundraiser that day and rushed away from his daughter Meadow.
His mom revealed that Paul got a text and said, "Oh my gosh, I’m supposed to be somewhere!". The big-hearted star rushed out the door to the fundraiser, held at a race shop, to benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines
Walker’s daughter filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche, claiming that her father was not immediately killed when the car crashed, but that he suffered immensely when it burst into flames.
Now, on Walker’s fifth death anniversary, REELZ’s new docuseries, Paul Walker: Behind Closed Doors, is looking back at the actor’s life by talking to friends and family. Walker was particularly close to his Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel.
