Jenelle Evans Joins NRA Husband’s Firing Gun Control Comments

Jenelle Evans and David Eason continue to stir up drama. Only weeks after he was fired from Teen Mom 2 because of gun control and homophobic comments, the couple continues to defend their controversial views.
Evans, 25, revealed on Facebook that she has joined the . “I joined the NRA today,” she posted. “Hate me if you will… but I will protect my family.”
Her husband added a on his Instagram page. “When government takes away citizens’ right to bear arms it becomes citizens’ duty to take away government’s right to govern,” the quote read.
Fans responded to the posts by bashing the couple. “Unintelligent use of a very old quote that was not intended to be applied to justifying a lack of safety for the children of America,” one user wrote, as a second fired, “Bill of rights was written in 1791 when your wife and daughters had no rights.”

The drama started when Eason posted a photo of his wife holding a rifle hours after Nikolas Cruz opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, leaving 17 dead. When he received backlash, he refused to take the photo down.
“Legal gun owners have over 200M guns and 12 trillion rounds of ammo,” he posted. “Seriously people, if we were a problem you’d know it.”
He then went on a homophobic rant when he received more backlash. “Lmao why don’t you go tell the homo and transgender parents to start teaching their kids better morals? Oh I forgot that’s supposed to be normal," he wrote
MTV fired Eason on February 20.
