The search is intensifying for a missing teenager in Wisconsin.
As RadarOnline.com has been reporting, police are organizing a team of 100 volunteers to scour through fields, woods and other areas to search for 13-year-old Jayme Closs, who hasn’t been seen since her parents were found shot to death earlier this week inside their rural home in Barron, a town of about 3,300 people.
With investigators from Barron County, the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children all searching for the girl, click through for all the details so far in the chilling case.
It all started early in the morning on Monday, Oct. 15, when Barron County Sheriff's Department found Jayme Closs' parents James, 56 and Denise, 46, dead inside their home, about 80 miles northeast of Minneapolis. Jayme was nowhere to be found.
Two days later, Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald revealed their cause of death.
“Her parents died from gunshot wounds. That’s why we are ruling this a homicide. There was no gun found on the scene,” Fitzgerald told reporters. “We believe Jayme was home based on the evidence in our case.”
There was a 911 call made from inside the house, and authorities know what cellphone made the call, but Fitzgerald would not release that information. Fitzgerald did reveal there was no interaction with the dispatcher, only "noise and things heard.”
A nationwide Amber Alert was sent out Monday afternoon. Jayme is described as 5-feet-tall, 100 pounds with blond or strawberry blond hair.

There was a brief glimmer of hope when police in Miami said they received a report from someone who believed they saw Jayme Monday afternoon in a black Ford Explorer. But the tip allegedly turned out to be "not credible."
“This wasn’t random,” a source close to the investigation revealed to RadarOnline.com exclusively. “Someone had the specific intent to take Jayme by any means necessary, murdering her parents in the process.” The insider continued, “For the perpetrator, turn yourself in now. Every second you are out there you are only making this worse for yourself, and worse for this child. This is now a double homicide and abduction case. Local, state and federal authorities will not give up until we solve this case.
“The perpetrator went in, pulled out a gun and shot both parents – killing them, execution style. The person then kidnapped their daughter.”
The Sheriff has indicated it’s possible that Jayme was kidnapped, but wouldn’t say that for sure.
Authorities don’t know if Jayme is with a stranger, someone she knows or on her own, but believe she could still be alive.
Anyone with information about Jayme’s location, or anyone who has had recent contact with Jayme, is asked to call the sheriff's department at 715-537-3106. Have tips? Call 855-744-3879.
